Manager (The IndividualiTree)

The IndividualiTree is looking for a Manager to step into this role, whilst our Founder, who will remain as CEO, moves into developing new projects. This is an ongoing role, permanent part time, 20 hours per week, weekday hours only. Hours can be flexible and the workplace is family (or other commitments) friendly, however this role will require some work on a Friday. The role will be paid under the SCHADS award at a level commensurate with experience and the level of responsibility.

You will lead a team of 11 people who work across two areas of focus. You will have an extensive background in the social services sector, existing connections and comprehensive understanding of how social services work in the New England area. You will have experience leading people doing work that is often challenging and managing the needs of staff as well as clients. You will be warm, friendly, determined, resourceful and creative. You will have extensive skills in developing teams as well as strengths in HR and performance management. A clear understanding of the social model of disability and how to address it is imperative. You will be calm and clear in situations of crisis and be confident in managing change.
You will need demonstrated experience in trauma informed practice and your understanding of this approach will be extensive. You will have a strong sense of social justice and the ability to pursue social justice issues to have them addressed, both on behalf of individuals and through systemic advocacy. You will be confident in engaging with the wider community and be comfortable being part of relevant committees/working groups or similar. An understanding of marketing and growing a business in a rural area along with the scope for scaling nationally will be well regarded, but not essential.
Specific knowledge of the NDIS will be a distinct advantage as will lived experience as a person with disability or family member. You will continue to work alongside the founder on some projects. Appropriate tertiary qualifications and an understanding of Transformational Leadership will also be well regarded.
