Support Worker (Young Children): Home/Community – Guyra

A family with two young children using the NDIS is seeking two support workers, for varying hours each week, including occasional overnight shifts.

You may be required to work together, so it is essential you can work as part of a team as well as be able to work effectively alone with the children.

The workers would support the early-primary school aged children with their daily activities – at home and in the community.  You will be expected to work with the family to develop a structure that supports the children, assists their social development and involvement in activities, and assists their parents as directed.

Your contract is with the family directly and you will need to be comfortable working in their home and to guidelines set by them.

While experience working with people with disability is not essential, it would be beneficial for you to have experience working with children with challenging behaviours. Some understanding of netball would be a bonus!

The IndividualiTree will not be your employer, your arrangement is directly with the family. You will require an ABN, a current Working With Children Check  and a screening check. Help is available to assist you with these if needed.
