A teen who uses the NDIS is looking for a support worker for up to 3hrs a week to assist with recovery from injury, as well as encourage toward achieving their athletics goals. The role would suit someone studying Exercise Physiology or something related to allied health.
Experience working with people with disability is not essential, but the right attitude is. Being calm, warm and approachable is important as well as a sound understanding of running as a sport and the ability to encourage someone to work toward something that might not always be easy. While not essential, an understanding of working with people with autism could be an advantage.
